Flu shots. Why they're important.
Every year in the United States, over 200,000 people are hospitalized with the flu.
Annually, more than 36,000 people die from this condition.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that people between the ages of 6 months and 18 years, plus all adults over the age of 50 should receive a flu vaccination.
Talk to your doctor to see if you have any medical conditions that should be considered before receiving your vaccination.
Flu vaccine supplies are projected to be around 130 million doses, which is the most in years.
