WATER, The Essence of Life.

When I say the word water, what comes to mind? You may get a vivid picture of a silvery waterfall, think of a nice relaxing bath, or may even be reminded that you still need to do those infinite dishes. Whatever your thought, have you ever tried to understand the simple complexity of the life-giving element known as water? Without it fish could not swim, plants could not grow, and more importantly humans could not live.

Let's do a little experiment.

Go to the kitchen and get a big glass of ice water. Now take a drink. As the water travels through the body, it goes to work hydrating to regulate blood pressure. Any asthma symptoms, chronic bronchitis and respiratory diseases are greatly diminishing as the water washes the lungs. As it enters the stomach and intestines, digestion is aided and vitamins and minerals are being absorbed. Toxins are eliminated as the water departs from the kidneys. Venturing through the nervous system, irrigated neurotransmitters connect with the brain keeping concentration and body function in order. Muscles attaining hydration ease cramping and pain keeping electrolytes in balance. Joints becoming slick with lubrication are relieved of aching, inflammation and tenderness. As water arrives in the pores, impurities are released and skin is hydrated to a youthful elasticity. Every part of the body needs water to help it run more effectively.

Now finish your glass of water and refill it seven more times. You should consume sixty-four ounces of water each day to receive optimum benefits. Without sufficient water consumption the scenario above could not transpire. Your body would be full of toxins, dehydrated cells, imbalanced electrolytes, muscle and joint pain, visible unhealthy skin, and have the inability to digest food properly and absorb nutrients.

So, the next time you take a drink, remember that water is the essence of life.
